You generally need your legal business name, USDOT number, MC/FF/MX number if applicable, address, phone, and email. Accurate information matters because BOC-3 is tied to your authority record.
Step 2: Use a process-agent filing service
FMCSA states that only a process agent can file Form BOC-3 on behalf of most motor carrier applicants. A registered blanket agent can file electronically after receiving your information.
Step 3: Submit and watch your email
After you submit and pay, watch for confirmation or any request for correction. If your information is incomplete, filing may be delayed.
